plastic surgery trends of the last decade

I was contacted by a writer who was interested in what I thought were 5 of the most relevant trends in plastic surgery over the last decade. I might suggest the following 5 trends of the last decade:
1. “Less is More” Make smaller changes but make them more frequently. keep the changes looking natural and people will think that you just look like you have come back from a wonderful vacation and not from the plastic surgeon’s office.
2. “Fill The Void” Use fillers and Botox to soften the lines. This is a wonderful way to ease into taking positive steps toward looking younger and better and has definitely come of age in the last decade.
3. “Join the Age of the Mini” Many procedures can be done through smaller incisions using less invasive techniques. These range from mini-facelifts to mini tummy tucks to endoscopic facial rejuvenation.
4. “The Early Bird Catches The Worm” Don’t wait until things get too saggy to intervene. Often the best most natural results can be obtained and maintained by tackling the problem early. This trend dovetails nicely with “Less is More”.
5. “Plastic Surgery Is Not Just For The Rich And Famous” Statistical trends show that there have been an increasing number of plastic surgery procedures done over the last decade. The costs of this surgery, however, have increased much more slowly and in some cases decreased over this same period of time. There is more plastic surgery available to more people for less money than ever before.
